I'm hoping someone out there can help me solve this.
I have a Windows XP Professional System at home. I have a logon for myself, and my wife. Only my logon has this problem.
When I first launch Outlook 2002, I can send and receive mail. After a while, I lose the ability to send mail. Outlook times out looking for the SMTP server. To fix it, I run IPCONFIG/RELEASE then IPCONFIG/RENEW, and then I can send mail again. It lasts a few minutes. Then I have to run IPCONFIG/RELEASE and IPCONFIG/RENEW again.
But it only happens on my logon!
I have already tried:
1. Deleting my profile in Outlook.
2. Wiping out the files that pertain to me in the C:\Documents and Settings folders on my local drive. My ISP says it's not them, and that I should contact Microsoft as it's "not them". Microsoft feels that I should uninstall Office and reinstall it. They also think I might have to remove my login and recreate it.
Before I go to that extent, does anyone have any other ideas?
Thanks!Dan Jablons
