Outlook 2000
I have a new computer and as Outlook express won't install, I installed outlook 2000.I finally got it working but it will only download e-mails .It will only send e-mails that I reply to but will not send e--mails when I put the address in the "To" section of a new e-mail or retrieve them from my address book that I had previously added.
Also I can't find where to tell the program to keep addresses from e-mails received.
Hoping someone can help me.Regards Ancient

Outlook 2000 is not compatible with Windows 7, as verified by Microsoft on their Compatibility Centre website. You need Outlook 2003 or later. I managed to find Outlook 2007 at a software store so I bought that when I got Windows 7 - no problems at all with it. But Outlook 2000 which I already had would not work properly at all, so you definitely need to upgrade it.
Windows Live Mail (that comes free with Windows 7 as part of Live Essentials) is the replacement for Outlook Express, or if you prefer just a straightforward mail client then Thunderbird (also free) is good. Both will work with Outlook Express data files. "I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us..." Pink Floyd
