My autoarchive had been working fine for a number of months but recently, when the archive is finished, Outlook throws the following error:
"Error while archiving folder 'Sent Items' in store 'Personal Folders'"
All other folders archive correctly.
I'm using Outlook 2000 in Internet mail only mode on Windows 2000. My Sent Items folder contains about 12000 items, my archive.pst is about 400MB and I have about 1GB free on my HDD. I have run scanpst against both my archive.pst and outlook.pst files and it doesn't report any errors.
Any help greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance
Seamus

Hey Seamus,
I've had the problem for ages as well. Only just had time to try and fix it today actually.
The problem is with the number of messages per folder. More than likely it's above the number allowable for the "standard" .pst format. Just right click on the personal folder file, go to properties, click advanced, and then put a tick in "allow upgrade to large tables" for the archive folder. It's probably worth doing it for the "main" .pst as well.
When you next archive, it will upgrade the tables to allow the extra messages and will proceed as normal. You won't be able to remove the tick in the large tables box after this, but it's not often people downgrade their version of outlook so I wouldn't worry about it.
Cheers,
Oracle.

Hi,
I am having the same problem. I have exceeded the quota of messages that is 1000 per folder and rightnow, every message that I sent, is not present in the sent item folder. How can I fix this problem. How can I increse the number of messages per folder. Where can I find the archive.pst or main.pst file. I searched the whole hard disk but unable to find these files. Please your kind help is required. Outlook Express Version is 5. Windows 98, IE = 5.0
Thanks & Regards,
Ullah Furqan
