Before I call up Microsoft and throw away $100 for support I thought I should see if I can get some help from here first.
I'm aware of the file size limitation for Outlook 2000 (2gb) and also the scanpst tool within Outlook.
I tried several times running the scanpst but it didn't work.
Are they any other tools that can repair/recover the emails or am I SOL?
What can microsoft do? Are they going to tell me the same thing, to use scanpst? I rather not through away the $100 fee and be put on hold for hours.
Anyone got any ideas?

Will the pst not open at all? Have you tried compacting it, or creating another Mail Delivery file and then opening the original pst as a second Personal Folder within Outlook?

The pst will not open. I created another mail delivery file but it gives me an error and reading on google, it reference back to using the scanpst tool to repair the pst.
Can compacting be done without opening the pst?
