Opinion: which is best word processor WordPerfect or MS Word

Specs: Windows 7
At this point, Word has me believing Stanford Binet was dead wrong about me. I have wasted too mush time wrestling with what strikes me as an overly complex word processor. Question: In your opinion, based on hands-on experience, is Word Perfect any better in term of ease of use than Ms Word? (I am open to the possibility my computer may be at fault [i.e desktop or necktop] ). Thanks in advance for any help you may care to offer.Short of that, my fragile ego may not survive another addition to my growing library of " . . . For Dummies" books. :-)

The "best" is whatever works best for you.

For me that would be (of those two) MS Office.

Word is a fairly commonly used format, however it has gone through lots of changed in the last twenty years. I guess I would say depends in what you are doing.

For just word processing I can't imagine that there is a lot of difference between the two. I have always used word since it became readily available , or the open office version. If are trying to do images and the like many versions of word can be annoying to mess with. Publisher might be a better choice for that kind of thing now.

If you don't mind writing documents in the html format, you may take a look into ConstEdit word processor. It totally separates content authoring from the presentation layer by supporting cascaded stylesheets.
