One of our users using Outlook 2007 has been having issues with the following error:

When accessing his inbox sometimes the error "Operation failed is displayed" If he clicks out of his inbox and back in sometimes he can get in and send and receive emails properly. I never found a solid fix for the problem.....So we got a new computer for him.

His new PC is Windows 7 32-bit with outlook 2007 he is still receiving this error message albeit much much less. Ive reninstalled his scalix (We dont have exchange) connector multiple times and have tried several profiles. Anyone else have any advice?

This problem occurs when data in the Inbox, Deleted Items, and Sent Items folders exceeds the permissible amount set by the administrator. To turn out this problem please clean out your folders to reduce the size and press F9 to synchronize again.

Turns out categories from 2003 dont correctly upgrade to 2007.

We fixed the issue by resetting categories and removing multiple emails (Hundreds)
