Opening .wps Files.

OS: Windows XP Home Edition S
CPU/Ram: Pentium IV 512MB

As far as I can determine, MS Works is needed to open .wps files, or a converter to allow opening with MS Word - but I don't have either program.

Is there another way to open such files?

wps could be a Works document or a Word Perfect document. You could try opening in Word Pad, or you could download OpenOffice (free) and see if that will work..

.wps is a Works text document (Microsoft)

Thank you for the replies. I was able to obtain the same file in .doc format and open with MS Word Viewer 2003.
