Hi there
I have been working with two others on a newsletter. The other girl and I have the Publisher in the Office 2K Pro package and the guy has the Publisher in the OfficeXP Pro package. The other girl did her part and emailed me the Publisher file. I had no problem opening it on my computer and doing my work on it. I then emailed the entire file to the guy. He did his thing with it in his Publisher in Office XP and then emailed it back to the both of us. Neither of us can open this file now and it is only a fraction of the size that it was when I sent it out. What happened? I've done a search here and everything I've found says that the two Publishers are interchangeable and will open each other's files. Could someone please enlighten me?
Much thanks for any info

Files are usually forward compatible, but not backward. 2k came before xp, so he can open you're file, but you can't open his. Have him use file save as and save the file in the older version, then you should be able to open it.
