Hello, I am working on a client's machine and am having trouble upgrading their MS Works 9 to Office 2007 Small Business upgrade edition.
At the point of locating a previous version of Office to upgrade to, specifying the upgrade location to the MS works 9 CD or directory does nothing. The MS Office 2007 upgrade setup reports it couldnt find any qualifying products to upgrade from, EVEN THOUGH MS works 9 is included as a qualifying product to upgrade to.
Has anyone encountered this issue?? Has anyone come across a solution to this?
Thank you in advance. I have attempted to remove, reinstall, and even repair the MS works 9 installation, but to no avail as to upgrading to Office 2007 SB Upgrade. I still am running into the above error.
Sincerely

Pre-CCNAWas this an Office related question or a resume submission. ;-)

I am sitting with exactly the same problem. Running Windows Vista Home Premium and got the Works 9 / Office 2007 pro bundle and no matter what is wont recognize Works 9 on my HDD or in my DVD drive as a valid upgradeable product.
Any solutions yet?
Thanks

WE contacted microsoft yesterday about this, and it is a known issue without a solution at present.
Microsoft gave us a full product licence key to use with a downloaded version of Office 2007 as a workaround.
