Office will not close

I run MS office off a network. It worked fine for month but recenty when I go to close it out (any MS office program)the title bar flashes as if were becoming the active window and the not becoming the active window. It will not close out until I do something (anything) else on my computer. Does anyone have any idea about what is going on and how I can fix it? Thanks
