Office slow in word or powerpoint

Hi All.. Already had this problem few months ago and never be able to fix it. Now it’s the same problem with another station.
Office 2000 (word and powerpoint) installed on win2000 pro sp4 or Win XP Pro takes much more time to open documents and the computer get very slow for no reasons.
Already try the repair and reinstalling office but it didn’t fix my problem, nothing special in process in task manager, and I don’t think it’s a findfast problem. Any idea? thx

Slow loading is usually caused by not enough memory or hard disk space necessary in order to load the whole program into RAM. When this is the case, the program loads itself with parts in Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Texas, so-to-speak, instead of loading the whole program in Dallas when it has enough memory.
