And if it doesn't work it could mean that you copied the corruption over to the new workbook - been there...done that!
At that point you might want to copy one sheet at a time until you can determine which sheet is causing the problem.
I've managed to narrow corruption down to single cell by copying smaller and smaller sections of a worksheet until the problem went away. It wasn't fun, but it was a very important file.
