Im having problems with MS word 2003 professional on a Dell inspiron 6000 using high percentage of CPU usage. When scrolling a small file (300kb) cpu usage goes to 20%, while a large file (4mb) goes up to 60%. The problem also erratically wont load pictures in word files. sometimes it will take 30mins to load a file sometimes it just never happens.
here are the things i have done to try and solve it
-Reinstalled 2003 professional -Installed Small Office Edition of office -ran diagnostics on the computers hardware and everything passed -installed the latest updates for office -Checked for programs running in that background that might cause this -checked for viruses -ran word in safe mode(didnt the same thing but not quite so bad) -called Dell(no help there)
