Hi,

First of all I have Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise edition. I've been having some major problems with the Office programs as of late. I can't remember anything I installed recently that may have led to this. I have already tried reinstalling but that did not resolve the issue.

The Problem:
Everytime I click "Open", "Save", or "Save As", the program (ie. Word 2007, Excel 2007, Powerpoint 2007 and the rest of the software in Office 2007 Enterprise), crashes with the message "Microsoft Office [Program] has stopped working", where [Program] represents any of the Office programs. Sometimes Excel crashes with that message right after opening Excel.
Here's a screenshot of what happens after I click "Open" on Microsoft Word 2007: http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/79...

I've been doing several searches trying to find a solution to no avail. I've followed a suggestion to delete the "Data" key in the registry editor (HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Office/12.0/World/Data) but that did not solve it.

I don't know if this is related or not but everytime I go to personalize my desktop (ie. right click on desktop, select properties, and click one of the options such as "Desktop Backgrounds" or "Screen Saver"), the following message appears after closing the "Desktop Backgrounds" or "Screen Saver" window: "Windows host process (Rundll32) has stopped working". It does not matter whether I clicked "cancel", "ok" or just closed the window, the message always appears.

There are some additional information I want to include here. I have Comodo Firewall version 3.8.65951.477. I have Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009. I would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks.
