Hi,
After I upgraded to office 07 from office 03, I noticed it would take about 20 seconds for Word to bring up the print window (by pressing Ctrl-P), whereas it only took about 2 second in office 03.
This problem is very frustrating as I print dozens of Word documents on a daily basis.

The first thing that came to mind is that, perhaps there are printers nolonger connected to the computer or Office is looking at old printers in the list. To compair, when you have a shortcut to a network place, and that computer has shutdown, it takes about that time to search for that computer and give you a result. Check to see if there's only one printer in the list.

thanks for the suggestion.
Since my original post, I have re-installed office 07 and removed two network printers that are no longer in use.
Well, it seems that the response time for bring up the print window in word 07 has reduced to about 5 seconds. although it is not as fast as print windows in other programs, e.g. in notepad the response time is almost as instantaneous, it is at least okay with me.
