I'm looking at buying Office 2007 but need a bit of clarification. I've got 2 students in the family so we may as well go for the educational version which I know can be installed on 3 machines within the EULA. However I've noticed there's also an Office 2007 Professional version that's labelled 'for educational use', which includes Publisher and Outlook. Can anyone tell me whether this version can be installed on 3 machines; one and a 'portable' (as with 'retail' copies) or just a single machine (as with OEM versions)?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

The Educational/Academic versions are available through Educational Institutions. If the institution has a Volume Licensing agreeement with MS, then your students should check with the Computing Department at the school they are attending.
Or are you referring to the Home and Student version and the Academic Retail version of Office Pro?
Hi, I'm referring to the latter - specifically the academic Office Pro. It doesn't seem to be a 'volume' licence - it's available here
The blurb doesn't give much away except the 'academic' bit & the link seems to imply it's a bit like the corporate versions you can get on EBay - very iffy. I can't imagine EBuyer would be able to offer those?.

Just to follow up. Bought & installed with no problems - comes in proper M$ box with CD key. Didn't get prompted for academic info. Licence is for one machine only but other than that no complaints.
