I hate with a vengeance Office 2007, I really wish I had not bought it!
I want to delete it and go back to my old Office 2003, never had a problem with that.

I have always saved any and all files in the old .doc etc formats not .docx etc so they should not be a problem.

Before I do this I thought I would ask if there is more to do other than going to add/remove and doing the necessary?

Don't want to get stuck by leaving something behind that upsets the re-installation of 2003

It's not that I can't remember things as I get older, it's just that my hard drive's full.

A proper uninstall should not prevent installation/operation of a 2003 reinstall.

Life's more painless for the brainless.

After you revert to 2003, I suggest that you download the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 file formats.

That way you can open any docx, etc. files that users of 2007 might send you.

It's explained and available here:

Thank you both, I was quite happy to do the change but just wanted someone else to say 'go for it'.

DerbyDad03, thanks for that suggestion, had not thought of anything like that as I don't often get files from elsewhere.
I will install the Compatibility Pack, thanks again.

We've had quite a few users at my company roll back to Office 2003 without any problems. Besides making sure you've got the compatibility pack installed, the only thing I can think of that could have caused some heartburn were new .PST personal folder files created in Outlook 2007.

If you've got any suggestions for my blog from your experiences with Office 2007, they would be much appreciated: http://dearmicrosoftofficeteam.blog...
