Hi,
Can an OEM copy of Office 2003 be installed without using the OEM Preinstall Kit (OPK) ? I've just purchased a new laptop along with an OEM copy of Office 2003. Office is still sealed in it's box so I can return it for a full retail copy if I can't install it but I'd prefer not to have the delay or the extra expense. I've read elsewhere that the custom installation tool from the ORK may allow you to install an OEM product, has anyone done this ?

You should be able to install Office 2003 from those CDs with no problem.

Hi Jennifer,
Thanks for the reply. I'm sure I've installed the 2000 version from OEM disks in the past. I'm just a little concerned that the warning on the box states the OPK must be used, although it is a gineric OEM warning no a one specific to Office.
