I'm receiving the following error message in MS Outlook 2003 when trying to open any message: "Can't open this item. Out of memory or system resources. Close some windows or programs and try again." Also getting following message when trying to save any file in Word 2003. "Word has insufficient memory. Do you want to save (doc name) as rescued document (#)?". I have plenty of virtual memory and don't have any trouble in any other programs. Outlook Express works fine. I've tried to reload MS Office 2003 but the system freezes when trying to load the installation programs. Is there a fix for this issue? Thanks.

Check to see how much free space you have on your hard drive. Once you get below 1GB, you can have problems such as the one you describe.
