Office 2003 error on closing

I've just reinstalled access, excel and word from my Office 2003 all-in-one cd; to a fresh install of winxp w/ sp1a. Everytime I exit access or excel, irrespective of what I've been doing in it, I get an error stating Microsoft Office <Program Name> has encountered a problem and needs to close. Given me the option of restarting the program and whether or not report the error. I would really appreciate any insight into this problem as I cannot seem to find anything online.
