Hi office gurus,
I'm also now struggling with a weird problem that seems to ghost around on some people's MS Office for a couple of years now. I could never find a clear answer so hopefully somebody on here can give me a hint.
I created a rule to permanently delete emails with 'Delivery' in the subject. (BTW this seems to be the latest scam to bombard people with alleged 'Mailer Daemon - delivery failed' crap.)
Anyway every time I receive an email with 'Delivery failed' in the subject,
1. the rule does not delete the email AND
2. the rule gets turned off (unchecked)
3. I get an error message that says: You don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation. When I run the rule manually it does work though and all the other rules I have work fine. In the beginning right after I created it, it all worked ok but since last week it started acting up.
I'm running Office 2000 (version 9.0).
Any thoughts?
cheers
