oe6 inbox problem

A new file - Inbox(1).dbx was somehow created when I opened OE6 and now I cannot read the emails that are in the regular Inbox.dbx file.
I tried deleting Inbox(1), but it keeps getting created each time I open OE and the 'Inbox' folder defaults to it.
