After reinstalling Office 2003 Pro [twice], MS Word frequently hangs causing the Normal.dot template to corrupt. After deleting Normal.dot Word fails to recreate the Normal.dot template upon next execution. Nonetheless, Word continues to run more or less okay with the exception that right click no longer functions on any text that has field codes in it [e.g. TOC, Cross-refs] or on spelling-highlighted words. Regular ol' text is not a problem. If I copy a Normal.dot file into the template directory everything will be okay for a few hours but then the corruption cycle recurs. Any idea what might be causing this scenario?
