Im getting #Num in a linked ms access table where the data is "1.0" in the spreadsheet (without the speachmarks), there are other cells in the same column with "1.0 prov" which are fine.
Have tried the macro that Microsoft provide to sort this but it just causes the problematic cells to vanish from the spreadsheet leaving blank entries.
The field is set to Text in access which I thought should be able to handle numbers also? however this cant be changed in Access and changing the format type in Excel has no effect as Access likes to decide on the data format itself when using a linked table.
I can import the data into a normal access table with no problems.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!! this is really doing my nut!!
