I'm running Norton Internet Security. Every few months I have to empty out the files in their c:\\symclogs folder. These appear to be a variety of Norton log files, and many new files are added every day.
A month ago these symclog files had filled over half of my hard drive and to the point that there was little room left on my hard drive adn my system slowed down dramatically.
I just removed another 10,000 files totalling 4 gig.
This has been a miserable piece of software and Norton support is non-existent.Can I turn off this logging? Or can I turn on some sort of automatic deletion of these files? Any other ideas?

Update: I think I've "fixed" the problem.
I uninstalled NIS using an uninstaller program I downloaded from Symantec. Then I deleted all the files and the Symclogs folder. Next I reinstalled NIS. The Symclogs folder has not yet reappeared after a week.
Symantec never answered my request for assistance.

Hi,
I have the same problem.
10 GB and 45.000 files.
How do I delete these files, what kind of programme should I use?
Thank you for any help
