no date showing in outlook express

hi i have just changed over from outlook express to using outlook 2000 and cant seem to get a date showing me when the email was sent - the field "received and sent" is on the tool bar - but it still doesnt display the date?

There is no "Received and Sent" field. The Received and Sent fields are two completely different ones, and should be in the column header list, not a toolbar.

I haven't used Outlook 2000 in years (now using 2007,) but try this: View, Arrange By, Current View, Customize Current View, Fields, and make sure "Received" is in the list on the right side.
