Need help with a DATE if statement

October 3, 2011 at 07:24:25
Specs: Windows 7
I have todays date in J1(dd-mm-yyyy); i have an executed date in F5 (dd-mm-yyyy); i have a "number, ie 3, 4, etc..." in column G5: the number in G5 represents number of years til expiration. I would like to create an IF statement to see if/when that vendor expires. so it would be current date - (executed date times number of years) and hopefully it would calculate the date it expires.

Not sure what it is your looking for, but to calculate
the Executed Date, cell F5,
plus the Number of years, cell G5,
try this:

=DATE(YEAR(F5) + G5, MONTH(F5), DAY(F5))

OMG Thank you! I really feel dumb tho as you wouldn't believe the "complicated" IF statements that I was trying to write.
