Specs: Windows 7

IF the landl ine number is given as 22 2288 0000 how do i make it as 22880000 by separating the area code.

Have way of doing it is using the SUBSTITUTE function.

assume you had the numbers 22 2288 0000 in A1

in B2 enter the formula =SUBSTITUTE(A1," ","")

This will remove all the spaces.

Hi ,

But this formula combines 2222880000 but my requirement is 22 (area code) should be in one column and 22880000 (landline number) should be in one column

With your original number in A1, for the 22 enter this:

=LEFT(A1, 2)

For the 2288 0000 enter this:

=MID(A1, 4, 9)
