I think I'm missing something obvious here, but how can I (easily) select the 'sending' account in OE assuming I've got 2 accounts - one for personal friends and one for everyone else? In Outlook there's a drop-down list of accounts and I just choose the one I want to use, but in OE I can't see any direct method of choosing the sending account except by changing the default account for each message sent - surely there must be a way. Seems to be the same in Microsoft Mail as well.

I have Outlook on the machine I am using right now but OE has it just like Outlook.

Look for it. It is there soomewhere as I use it all the time and don't remember having any difficulties locating it.

Thanks for reply but it doesn't help. I thought it was the same as well until I was asked the question & I couldn't find the solution. Anyone give me exact solution or tell me it cannot be done?

As long as the email address is configured for that particular identity, here's what you do:

Click on Create email. In the "From" field, click on the drop-down arrow and select the alternate email addy.

Thanks for reply. That's the problem - where's the 'from' field? There's just no option that I can find that gives you the 'from' drop-down box as in Outlook. Where's the option to turn it on/off?

If you have more than one email account configured, it will show on the From line in a new email.

Ah, thanks for that, I already had 2 accounts so, just to try it I created a 'spoof' account as well & now I get the drop-down 'from' field that wasn't there before - wierd!!

Thanks again.
