I was just wondering if anyone could link me to a place where I could download free multimedia audio controller software. I guess it was muted and then uninstalled and now I don't have sound for anything. If my speculation is inaccurate could someone please give me some insight on what else could be the problem. Thanks

There are a number of possibilities, but I do question why you're asking in the Office Software forum, as this would be better addressed in General Hardware
"it was muted and then uninstalled"
One doesn't really follow the other - you can try checking in Device Manager, look for your sound card's entry and see if there are any warnings listed there.
You might also check in Control Panel, in the Sounds and Audio Devices section under Audio to see if the correct device is selected
There really isn't generic "free multimedia audio controller software" - drivers are device (& OS) specific, and are either provided by Windows or else from the manufacturer.
If a driver is required, the Dell site would be the best place to look
I'm not one of those who think Bill Gates is the devil. I simply suspect that if Microsoft ever met up with the devil, it wouldn't need an interpreter.
