MSProject 2007 Renumbering Lines

When I move tasks around Project will occasionally scramble the line numbers which breaks all the links or predecessors. I am working with a Project file that has over 1300 lines. Is this a known issue or something I am doing? I have tried moving the task and I have tried deleting the task and re-entering it where I want it. Any ideas?

I have a similar problem, with a smaller project (160 lines). The first time it happened, I made a new project file and copied the information by hand, assuming that it was some issue with my old file. But now my new project file is barely a week old, and suddenly I get the same problem. I saved the file, it was OK, but when I opened it again, some line numbers were scrambled.

In addition, some tasks have moved to other places, seemingly at random.

Did you find a solution, skomenchuk?
