I had to reinstall my MSworks program, but now it wont work at all. I get this message.

The procedure entry point
?WzCopyTrunc@MWblStrings@@SAPAGPBGHPAG@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library WKWbl.dll

The program was preinstalled on my computer, but i have the disk that came with the comp. Does anyone have a solution to this? I have tons of work saved and no way to use it. any help would be appreciated.

Go to Google and search for the "could not be located in the dynamic link library WKWbl.dll" There are lots of hits on that error.

I did this and replaced the files as suggested in the articles and everything works but the word processor. Which is the one thing i need most...I'll keep looking for a solution.

Hi sherryt.

Are the files the old Works extension .wps or the newer extension .doc like Word?

If they are .doc files you can download the free office suite software - Open Office 2.

The Writer program included in this office suite can open and save Word .doc files.

The suite also includes a spreadsheet, presentation and drawing program.

And this program costs nothing.

I used open office on my daughters computer at one time. Not the best program, but okay for a freebie. Thanks for the suggestion though.
