MS Word - Locking Text

I am working with Microsoft Word and want to be know how to lock and protect text in a document to prevent some one tampering or moving it for example if i were setting up a letter head that i did not want copied or tampered with. Hope someone can help! Thank you.

Launch Word. Go to Tools, Protect documents.

Doesn't necessarily work the way (or as well as) you may think.....
