I use MS Office 97 on my computer and my daughter's computer uses Office XP. I don't have Publisher on mine and my daughter does. My question is this: Can I install Office XP (with PUblisher)on my computer by installing it in a separate folder? Would that muck up anything in the registry or can you run two Office suites on the one computer trouble-free?

Thanks for any opinions.

Julie

For my own, install only publisher and don't get rid of office 97 (a good product)for the others .But in ur case,ur OS is Xp and u can install office Xp completly without inconvenient, just because u can read files made with Xp only with office Xp (specially with publisher).Files exchangin will be easier...

Hey,

Office XP will install around '97 in its own directory by itself.
They won't conflict with each other as far as I know.
It will take up a lot of room.
But if you choose to just install Publisher, it will still load all of the essential Office XP files which will still take up tons of space.
Try to find an old copy of Pub'97.

Okay, thanks guys. I'm quite happy with Office 97 and will try to borrow someone's PC who has Publisher.
