Has anyone have a problem running software while the laptop in the docking staion?

I have never see or run into this issue until recently when one of user want to have microsoft project install to his laptop. The isntallation went fine no error message what so ever, MS project 2002. After the isntallation I run the program and it will run. It's given me "Microsoft project has encounter a problem and need to close" error message. The laptop has the latest patches and fixes. Whent he user was away for a day I took the laptop for diagnostic, no problem what so ever on the latop. I open Microsoft project and it work just fine no error, the laptop was not dock. It's working just fine so I took it back and put on the docking station, run microsoft project again, and I get my old error message, will not work at all.

Other softwares work just fine while the latop is in the docking station only microsoft project will not work.

I even install MS project 2003 and still have the same error mesage and will not run.

Anyone know why this happen? I spoke with Dell but since is a software issue there's nothing they can do.

How can you explain the things you cannot see?
