Hi,

I recently installed MS Project 2000 on my main computer with a full install of MS Office 2000 Pro including Service Pack 3 and all updates from MS.

Previously I had Project 98.

Now when I start MS Publisher 2000, I get an error message that the spell checker will not work in Publisher and needs to be installed.

The files that the Office installer tries to install are on the Project CD, but this does not solve the problem as the installation program does not try and pick them up from either of the two optical drives I have.

If I cancel the error message(s) and run MS Publisher the spell check does actually work.

I've tried a repair of MS Office, which makes no difference.

If I uninstall MS Project, MS Publisher now starts normally.

Windows 98 SE on a D4100 512 ram 2*20GB HD

Any ideas would be gratefullly received so I can install Project 2000 without getting this error.

I need MS Publisher more than I need Project.

Thanks

Ceri Sheeran (Mr.)
