Hello,
When I receive e-mail Outlook gives the wrong time it received it. Example: I get e-mail at 4pm and it says it received it at 12:45 My clock is right on my computer. How can I fix this problem? I looked in "Tools->Options" but found nothing. Please help.
Thanks,
Boris

Hi Boris, your e-mail is most likely time stamped at the time it was received at your ISP's server not when you download it. Check it out by sending yourself an e-mail, wait 15- 30 min. and then download to your compter and compare the times.

I just sent myself e-mail. It was 7:06 when I sent it, Outlook express says "Received
4/30/06 4:00 PM."

I use AOL e-mail:

Your e-mail server is in a different time zone.

Today seems like a good day to chew through the restraints.

I sent myself an e-mail at 7:58 and when I look at the list of my received e-mails, it shows the correct time. But when I look at the "Properties", it shows to have been sent 5 hours later. I checked several of my received e-mails (from various places throughout the country) and the "sent" time shown in "properties" is always exactly 5 hours later than the "sent" time shown on the message itself. I was concerned that the "sent" time shown on the message might be wrong, but it seems to be correct, The only discrepancy I find is the CONSISTANT 5 hour difference shown in "properties and I guess this is due to my server being in a different time zone like Larry said???
