As of 2 weeks ago, outlook 2k3 is stuck in a loop of trying to send 3 email messages. I cannot find them anywhere. There are NO messages in the Outbox, or any drafts waiting to be sent. Is it possible that the Outbox is corrupt, and if so any way of repairing it?? Thanks for any help in advance.

Try running Detect and Repair first. To do this, open Outlook and click Help | Detect and Repair, and follow the on-screen instructions. Close Outlook down when finished. Re-open Outlook afer a few minutes and see if that fixed the problem.

If Detect and Repair does not fix the problem then try ScanPST. First, locate the ScanPST.exe file on your computer by clicking Start | Search | All Files and Folder and search for "ScanPST.exe". Once you find this file double-click on it, browse to your PST to file, and click "Start Scan" (might be called something else, but you'll know what I'm talking about when you get their). You'll need to have Outlook closed down when running this.

One of these two things should fix your problem.

Good luck!

Alright, So I have tried the detect/repair feature in Outlook. Did not work. I tried the scanpst.exe...did not work. I have tried the Outlook repair feature from Ontrack Data Recovery...did not work. Any other ideas??

Thanks for the help.

Jeremy,

It is possible that someone has installed a keylogger (via a trojan or someone else that uses the machine) and it's program is trying to send the information from it's application.

I suggest you run the standard free anti-spyware tools found at http://computing.net/security/wwwboard/tools.html.

HTH
Bryan
