I'm trying to uninstall Office 97 in order to install OfficeXP. But when I put in the Office97 CD the following error message comes up: E:\~MSSETUP.T\~msstfof.t\rnscln97.opc file not found.

It's not removable in Add/Remove right? I have tried it and it doesn't work. It just comes up, by autorun? What happens if you click on the CD drive to open it up? You need to click on the setup.exe to run the Office wizard to remove it. See if you can find a setup.exe file in My Computer->C: Drive->Program Files->Microsoft Office 97 and look through this folder to see if there's a setup.exe file.
