Comment: Hello. I'm having a serious problem with my MS Office. It's been a while since it started troubling me. Everytime I run an Office program, a message window appears with the message "Compilation error in hidden module: AutoExec" (or something like that, since my Office is in portuguese). When I click OK, another message window pops up with the message "System error &H80004005 (-2147467259). Error not specified.". When I click OK yet another message window appears with the message "Compilation error in hidden module: Main". When I click OK it goes to the blank document. But nothing seems to work. The only thing that works is opening recent documents (withing the File menu). If I open a recent document and try to save as another file a message window appears with the message "Word doesn't have enough memory. Do you want to save "filename" as a recovered/rescued document?" I've already tried deleting normal.dot, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling MS Office, but nothing seems to fix this.. Also, all those messages (except for the last one) have "Microsoft Visual Basic" on top of its window. Could anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

Reply: (edit)Have you done a full virus scan??? Spyware??? Upgraded you OS with all the service packs and critical updates??? Scan disk??? I suspect the problem is more operating system orientated than it is Office orientated...

Reply: (edit)what os are you running? Heres what might work: I'm pretty sure this works with office..anyway, go to control pannel, add/remove programs, then go to office 2000. Select to remove it, then a popup should come up saying "Custom, then Repair, finally Remove" choose to repair, then restart when prompted. This might help, if not do a complete reinstall. Do all this after a virus scan...and if this is a pirated version of office 2000, that could be the problem.
