MS Excel not enough memory error

July 23, 2015 at 13:22:42
Specs: Windows 7 Pro
We are a small company, running mostly all windows 7 64 bit
We are on MS Office home and Business 2013 except for one user that is on MS Office Professional plus 2013

This one User has a solid state hard drive with 8gb ram and regularly gets the error in Excel that states that there isn't enough memory to complete this action. Try using less data or closing other applicaitons. To increase memory availability, consider: -using a 64-nit version of Microsoft Excel -Adding memory to your device. We have already upgraded this to the 64 bit version, and the user has 8gb of memory running Windows 7.

All of the other computers in our small company can open the exact file or any excel file without issue

Why does this one computer not open excel files?
SS hard drive, 8gb ram, page file set to system managed. what else needs to happen so that this one computer can open the same file that all the other users can open

This same error happens on more than one excel document for this one user

Open task manger and end Excel.exe process. Follow the steps below:
1. Let us press the Ctrl + Alt+ Delete key -> Click on Task Manager to open.
2. Under Processes tab -> Select Excel.exe -> Click on End Process.

Run the online repair of Office. If the above steps fails, start the computer in clean boot and check if the issue persists.

It could be a pagefile problem. Go into Advanced System Settings, Performance, Advanced, Change, and set the pagefile to be System Managed Size.

That may help.
