Dear friends,
I am using MS Office XP Pro for my study. But I couldnt find out how to insert an equation object to my document. I tried to purge on the Menu, but nothing came out. I did remember, the MS Equation is added by selecting Insert/Object/MS Equation... Sth like that. Is that right?
Anybody please help me out, cause I need that one to write up my thesis for my major. I need to insert a lot of equations in my doc.
Thanks...

The tool to insert and properly shape mathematical equations in MS Word is the add-on Equation Editor. As you state to be an eavy user of this tool, the best way to have it ready for use is to insert the proper button on the standard tool bar (the symbol is the square root of letter alpha).
To do that select Tools, then Personalize (sorry, but I am using an italian edition of the product and so my translation may be far than correct, but I hope you understand..), then in the sheet Commands select on the left Insert from Class and browse on the right to find the previusly stated button (square root of alpha).
Drag and Drop it on the tool bar where you want to set it... and you are ready to start insert equations.
The add-on is not part of the standard Office set-up, so you may be requested to install it from the product CD.
About how to use the tool I suppose you have some exposure, otherwise you have to spend some work around it.
Good work
