I’m moving someone from Office 97 to 2002 in an workplace environment (it’s also a move from one PC to another). She asked if I could preserve her Word macros, which she has about 70 of, all of which are contained in Normal.dot. I thought I could just drop in the ‘templates’ directory of Office 2002 and they’d be there. But as someone told me, that won’t work. I was also told there is no official Microsoft-provided way of migrating these macros. He said my best bet would be to search the net for a 3rd party conversion utility to do this. Does anyone know of such a tool, or a way to do this?

I couldn’t find anything in O97 like the “Save my settings” wizard found in newer versions. Any ideas would be appreciated!

The normal.dot file is user specific.

I did find this though. Perhaps it will help...
