i got this problem with microsoft word... i have this L thing on top of my document and i want to know how to remove it

the boxes in black are the ones i made but im trying to get rid of the gray parts inside those boxes

I've got those too. They're not a problem for me. I prefer knowing where my type-able corners of my doc are. Sorry, but i don't know how to get rid of them. Try Tools>Options
