whats the last version of microsoft office that a computer with microsoft windows 98 second edition that doesn't have outlook express installed can use?

Office XP supports 98 (don't know how well)As far as not having outlook express installed doesn't really pertain to your question.

As far as I know, you can use any version of Office, including Office XP or Office 2003, with Windows 98SE. You can find out for sure by checking the minimum system requirements at the Microsoft website.

Office 2003 will not run on a Win98 system and will tell you so during setup. XP is the last version you can run on 98.
