It's not that I can't remember things as I get older, it's just that my hard drive's full.

I think I'm going to stop replying to posts on many of the boards that I visit, it's getting so rare to get an acknowledgment for any effort that might have been taken in trying to answer a question these days.

Well, it's always been a sore point here, but a few, such as this poster, are chronic repeat offenders

Unfortunately, there is little or no censure for this kind of behaviour - - *someone* always seems to answer

I'm not one of those who think Bill Gates is the devil. I simply suspect that if Microsoft ever met up with the devil, it wouldn't need an interpreter.

John,
I too understand what you are saying and we thank you for your efforts.

However, you must determine for yourself why you post answers to the forums.

I do it because I like to do so. It is a hobby. I do it for me and not those that I spend the effort on. I usually find something of interest as a result of another posting a question. I do a little research and I get the answer of interest.

I then share that answer in thanks to the poster whom posed the question that sparked my interest whether that person appreciates it or not.

It is nice if that poster does say thanks but I thank them for asking. I show my thanks/appreciation by replying.

Do it for yourself and appreciate what you do for yourself.

HTH
Bryan
