Solved lock pages in microsoft word 2007

Specs: Windows 7
ispend all day working on pics...over lapping color boxes to create a nice looking page in my book...I go back later to add a new story before that page and its all messed up...the one colored box is pushed ahead to the next page...etc etc. id love to be able to just lock a story and illustration so it will not budge unless unlocked

It shouldn't normally mess things up but I've found in the past that one of the bast ways to keep individual pages locked is to use page breaks at the end of each page rather than just letting the document sort itself out. That way if you insert a new page before an existing one, the following page will still remain intact.

As well as this, if you put your images and text into text boxes then you need to set up 'anchor points' for them - this will lock them in place - if you click the help button in your version of Word and search for 'anchor points' it will guide you through the particular version you have.
