Comment:

The links have stopped working in emails in Outlook Express, MS Word and Excel.
It happened after installing and uninstalling Foxfire. How do I correct? How do I tell Internet Explorer that it is the default browser again.

Don't know why you'd want IE as a default, but...

Tools
Internet Options
Programs
Check the box that reads "IE should check...blah, blah, blah"
OK

Then, close and reopen IE.
