Line around Excel graph when copied into Word

November 10, 2011 at 13:08:32
Specs: Windows XP
I am trying to put an Excel graph into a Word doc. I've copied graphs many times before that just show up as a graph but now I am getting a line or outline around the graph after I copy the graph into Word. I do not want that box around the graph. I don't want any lines around my graph. What do I need to do to get rid of the box (outline)?

Am using 2007 version of both Excel and Word.

I just tried this and it seemed to work...

In Excel I right-clicked on the white space of the chart area and chose Format Chart Area.

Under Patterns...Border I changed it from Automatic to None.

That removed the "box" and it copied into Word without any border.
