LibreOffice macro help needed

Specs: Windows 7, Core2duo 2ghz / 4G

The truth is, I find open/libreoffice macros quite inaccessible. They seem terribly verbose and the editor is little help. But maybe if I can learn the first steps I can learn to work with them.

I'm trying to write a simple macro that will take selected text and add text before and after it. In VBA this is simple, and I have it set up that I don't even have to select the text carefully, I just need to have the selection anywhere in the first and last paragraphs of what I want included, and the macro will extend the range to include the entire paragraphs, which is what I want.

Does anyone have a clue how to go about something like this? Thanks.

I assume that you are referring to VBA for Word since you mention "paragraphs".

Sorry, but I doubt you will get your answer in this forum. For the most part, any VBA you'll find here will be Excel related. So, not only won't you find too much VBA for Word, I don't think you'll get any help with macros for open/libreoffice.

Perhaps I'll be presently surprised, but based on my experience there just isn't any open/libreoffice macro expertise to be found here.

I know what you have. My point was that you probably won't find any Libreoffice macro help in this forum.
